You need
- Pink tulle, 1 yard (buy: craft store)
- Cardboard for wings, 1 large piece about 2x3 feet (make: from a shipping box)
- Fake flowers, 1 bunch (buy: dollar store)
- Headband, 1 (buy: dollar store, or own)
- Wooden dowel or stick for the wand, about 12 inches (make: from the yard)
- Cardboard star for the wand tip, 1 (make: from scraps)
- Elastic for wing straps, about 2 feet (buy: craft store)
- Glitter glue, 1 tube (buy: craft store)
- Tape, 1 roll
- Glue, 1 bottle
- Scissors, 1 pair
Steps
- Buy the pink tulle, fake flowers, headband, and elastic.
- Draw ONE wing on paper, cut it, and trace it flipped for the second. Symmetric wings are the fairy illusion. Cut two large wing shapes from the cardboard with the scissors.
- Cover each wing with pink tulle and tape the edges down.
- Glue fake flowers around the headband for the crown.
- Tape the cardboard star to the top of the dowel for the wand.
- Safety: keep the wand away from faces during photos.
- Tape elastic straps to the back of the wings and slip arms through.
- Optional pro finish: outline the wing edges with glitter glue and add three dots down the center. The glitter edge catches light in every photo.
