Emerald Witch
⏱ 45 min hands-onMedium
You need: 6 things in all.
An all-green-everything gown, dramatic makeup, and a pointy hat gone couture.
A dress already in the closet is a costume that fits, and half the work is done before you start. A long green dress becomes a witch, a white dress becomes an ice skater, a black dress becomes the deadpan diva, and a pink dress anchors a whole group. Every costume below starts from one dress, names the few extras each build needs, and links to a full guide with real hands-on time. Seven of the ten are built for two or more people, so one dress can start a whole group.

Black and white cover the most ground. A black dress starts the Deadpan Diva and the gown half of the Macabre Goth Couple. A white dress starts the Ice Skater and the fairy half of the Tooth Fairy. Green starts both the Emerald Witch and one of the three Witchy Sisters.
No. One build even mentions sewing: the Emerald Witch, where hot glue does the same job on the gown and the hat. The other nine builds are wear, paint, tape, and pin. The Fairy Tale crowns are cut from a cereal box and taped shut.
Yes. The Deadpan Diva can cost nothing: a black dress from your own closet, two braids, and pale makeup only if it is already in your drawer. The Fairy Tale Princesses run close behind: any closet dress plus a crown cut from a cereal box.
Seven of the ten are built for two or more people: a princess per dress, an ice kingdom with four roles, three color-coded witch sisters, a goth couple, a mermaid crew, a tooth and her fairy, and a head-to-toe pink crew. The Emerald Witch, the Deadpan Diva, and the Ice Skater are solo builds.
