You need
- Yellow craft foam sheets, 2 (buy: craft store)
- Brown craft foam for the flower center, 1 sheet (buy: craft store)
- Green dress, 1 (own, or buy: thrift store)
- Headband, 1 (buy: dollar store, or use your own)
- Glue, 1 tube craft glue (buy: craft store)
- Scissors, 1 pair
Steps
- Buy the yellow and brown craft foam, headband, and glue.
- Cut 10 to 12 petal shapes from the yellow craft foam with the scissors.
- Arrange all 10 to 12 petals around the headband DRY before gluing, once craft glue sets, petals cannot be repositioned. Glue the petals in a ring around the headband, tips pointing out, overlapping slightly.
- Glue the brown foam circle in the center of the petals.
- Safety: let the glue dry fully before wearing.
- Wear the flower headband with the green dress.
- Optional pro finish: dot the brown center with yellow fabric paint dots for pollen texture. The textured center is what makes it read as a real flower up close.

Common questions
- How many petals does a daisy need?
- Ten to twelve. Fewer looks sparse, more looks like a sunflower. Overlap them slightly so no headband shows through.
- Foam or felt for the petals?
- Craft foam holds its shape and springs back; felt flops by hour two. Foam costs a little more and looks twice as good.
