- Yellow shirt, 1, with a hand-drawn star badge for extra toy-box friends (own: from closet)
- Toy pull-string name tags, 1 per person (own: index cards)
- Marker, 1; scissors, 1 pair; glue, 1 bottle; tape, 1 roll (own: household)
Steps
- Buy the cowboy hat, cow-print vest, purple felt, and clear plastic dome. Pull white clothes for the space ranger, brown boots for the sheriff, and a yellow shirt for extra toy-box friends from the closet.
- Sheriff: wear the cowboy hat, cow-print vest, and brown boots. Draw a star badge on the yellow shirt with a marker.
- Lay the felt fins and buttons on the white shirt first and check the placement in a mirror before gluing, since glued felt cannot be moved. Space ranger: cut purple felt fins and buttons and glue them to the white shirt. Tape the cardboard wings to the back and wear the clear plastic dome as a helmet.
- Safety: keep the plastic dome above the shoulders with the face fully open, and carry any toy props low so nobody gets poked.
- Tie a pull-string name tag to each wrist. Strike the sheriff pose and the space-ranger landing pose for the group photo.
- Optional pro finish: draw a round speaker circle on the space ranger's chest and write PULL on it, so the pull-string joke lands without explanation.

- Will the clear plastic dome fog up or block vision?
- Keep the dome above the shoulders with the face fully open, never sealed around the neck. It is a helmet prop, not a closed bubble.
- How do the pull-string name tags work?
- Write each character name on an index card, punch a hole, and tie it to the wrist with string. It reads as the pull string and doubles as the name tag.
