You need

• Brown t-shirt or tunic for the wrapper, 1 (make: from closet)
• White pillowcase for the frosting, 1 (make: from home)
• Red pom-pom or ball for the cherry, 1 about 2 inches (buy: craft store)
• Fabric glue, 1 tube (buy: craft store)

Steps

1. Put on the brown shirt. This is the cupcake wrapper.
2. Drape the white pillowcase over your head and shoulders like frosting. Mark eye positions while wearing it, take it off, and trim eye holes SMALL first, then widen. Trim the bottom edge into a wavy frosting line.
3. Glue the red pom-pom on top as the cherry.
4. Fluff the pillowcase edges to look like frosting swirls.
5. Optional pro finish: dot the pillowcase with fabric markers in sprinkle colors before wearing. Sprinkles turn 'person in a pillowcase' into cupcake.

Common questions

How do you keep the pillowcase frosting on your head?

It drapes, no attachment needed if the pillowcase is adult-size on a kid. For adults, pin it to a headband at the forehead so it does not slide.

What is the wrapper part?

The brown shirt is the cupcake liner. Vertical marker stripes on the brown shirt sell the wrapper ridges.
